Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our program, taking a live class, and getting started.

Barre is a low-impact workout that combines principles from pilates, yoga, and ballet. The classes are designed to build strength & muscular endurance, increase flexibility, and improve balance, all while taking it easy on your joints!
-
All recommended equipment is listed under the class description. a light and medium set of dumbells is useful to have. The beauty of barre is that you don’t need anything fancy! Sometimes I like to incorporate a fun prop (like loop bands or a yoga block) but these props are not necessary to participate.

Pre-recorded workouts can be great! However, they lack:
Live instruction
Real-time guidance & support
Accountability
Community
Long-term structure
Classes with Elevé(ted) Flow are a guided experience, led by a certified instructor that can provide feedback as you move, helping you get the most out of your workout.

This is up to you. While I strongly encourage you to have your camera on so that I can provide verbal form adjustments and feedback, I understand that everyone has a different level of comfort. I will never call you out for not having your camera on.
-
Please keep yourself muted throughout the workout. This ensures that everyone can hear the instructor and limits any background noise (kids, pets, etc.) that might be distracting or take away from the class.
-
Yes! I’ll be watching participants throughout class (if your camera is on) and offering verbal cues and corrections. That’s one of the biggest benefits of live instruction versus prerecorded workouts. If you’d like me to observe your form, just be sure that I your camera is set up so that I can see your full frame and lighting is bright enough.

You’re welcome here. While I do encourage you to set aside these 45 minutes for yourself, this is real life. This community is built for women in busy seasons. Grab your kid a quick snack, let the dog out, respond to that emergency situation at work. And then jump right back into your workout.
-
Totally normal! You can go at your own pace, take breaks when needed, and ease into it. This is a supportive, judgment-free space. Barre was transformative for my mental health, and my goal is to create that same empowering, grounding experience for you.

Mat Pilates will be added in early summer 2026. I am in the process of getting certified and will only offer classes once I am fully prepared to teach them safely and effectively.
While I am certified in Human Reformer™ Pilates, this requires the purchase of additional equipment. I will be gauging interest in this format after classes are fully up and running.

This program is meant to work around your life. The last 3-5 minutes of class is stretching and meditation. While I highly encourage you to stay for this portion of class, I know you have a busy life to get back to.
